To mark South High’s 100th anniversary, alumni, families, and local businesses are launching the South High School Foundation — a new scholarship fund built to support graduating seniors for the next hundred years.

The South High School Foundation is a newly established, independent 501(c)(3) — created in 2026 by alumni volunteers, local business owners, and South High staff to mark the school’s 100th anniversary. 100% of donations go directly to student awards — no overhead is taken from gifts.
We’re building this fund from the ground up so that South High seniors pursuing four-year degrees, community college, trade certifications, and apprenticeships have support for the next century — starting with our first scholarship class in 2027.
Three ways we’ll invest in graduating seniors.
Each program has its own criteria and award amount. Most seniors will be eligible to apply for more than one. Applications open for the first time in the 2026–2027 school year.
The Founders’ Scholarship
For seniors with a 3.5+ GPA continuing to a four-year university. Judged on transcript, essay, and two letters of recommendation.
The Panther Trades Award
For seniors entering a trade school, technical program, or registered apprenticeship after graduation.
The Volunteer Spirit Award
For seniors with significant community service hours, regardless of GPA or postgraduate plan.
